It has four installed fans, a five-way fan control and three additional fan slots. The illumination of the lid fan can be deactivated separately. Along with E-ATX mainboards twelve drives and graphics cards can be installed up to a length of 35 cm.Along with the shape the colouring is the second eye-catching feature of the Phantom. In this version NZXT sets on an effective contrast with white base paint and individual areas set out in black. The mesh-areas as well as the decorative strips are thereby black in their length. The lid strips house the control elements, the I/O-panel and the fan control. The last mentioned is designed especially elaborately, whereby five slider controls together with control-LEDs permit a separate adjustment. The external drive entries are elegantly covered by a front door. The external (5x) as well as the internal (7x) drives can be installed without tools. These are distributed on three slots, whereby the HDD-frame is rotated to the side and is thus once again easier to equip. Along with 3.5-inch, 2.5-inch drives (for example SSDs) can also be installed here. The smaller HDD-slot can be removed. The ventilation system is extrremely powerful even in the delivered state. Four fans thereby provide for a rich draught and excellent cooling. The fresh-air supply is provided by two 12 cm side fans. The heated air is discharged by a 12 cm fan at the rear-side as well as by a 20 cm fan in the lid. In addition, a 14/12 cm fan can be mounted behind the front, another 20 cm fan in the lid as well as a 20/23 cm fan at the side. The fan control enables thereby a flexible speed adjustment, in order to adjust the quantity and the volume to the individual requirements. Since each of the five connections has a load-carrying capacity of rich 20 watt, several fans can also be connected and controlled via one port.
